Am currently on a drive for the products from The Body Shop. From their shower gels to fragrance mists, face washes to creams and perfumes, I have been enjoying everything. My recent discovery and love from their range of fragrance mists is the Atlas Mountain Rose fragrance mist. If floral fragrances tick with you or if rose is one of the main accords that you like in a fragrance, you are surely in for a spicy delight here. Let’s take a look at this fragrance mist in detail.
Packaging Like any other fragrance mist from The Body Shop, this one also comes in a glass bottle with a black lid. I believe it is some kind of metal and not plastic as it doesn’t sound like plastic, but what it is exactly am not aware of. However, the lid is not at all sturdy. The people at The Body Shop must take a note of this point and work to make the lid fit better. Don’t get me wrong it sits on the bottle nicely but it is not sturdy enough and comes off easily. The name of the fragrance is written against a pink background which is further placed against a transparent sticker with black pattern on it. Kind of a typical packaging from The Body Shop. Scent Rose crushed and brewed with all beautiful spices. That is exactly what you get when you smell this. There are accords of cassis buds and amber to make this beautiful scent bloom on your skin. It is light and refreshing, especially when you apply on to your skin right after shower. It has a dewy feel to it which makes the floral accords blend in nicely with each other, which furthermore works wonders on the skin. Longevity and Silage Considering the fact that it is a body mist we are talking about, the longevity and silage are not that great. However, in not so hot and humid climate this fragrance mists lasts more than 3hrs on skin, which is great for a body mist. There are EDTs in the market which fair something around this timeframe, so I think it is great. You can furthermore layer it up with similar smelling fragrances or shower gels, which will make this scent hold on to your pulse points for a longer span. If this fragrance manages to impress you, then you can very well carry it around with you; assuming there is no issue carrying a perfume around. It doesn’t project a lot, unless you overspray it on your skin, clothes and hair. Still, that doesn’t mean that you will put this on and nobody will be able to detect it. People around you will notice it for the first time you interact with them and after that they will get used to the smell so that it will no longer be highly detectable. But, if they come close to you or hug you, they will surely get a sniff of this beautiful fragrance, if you spray this properly on your pulse points. Quantity and Price Point The 100ml bottle is priced at Rs. 1195. Sounds too much? Well if you check the fragrance bottled inside, you may able to change your mind on that price tag. However, cost and worth are two very different things. If you think it is worth it, then cost doesn’t matter. You can save up to buy a quality product. On the other hand, if you are convinced otherwise, no matter how much money you are willing to spare your purse strings will still be tightly shut. You can also take advantage of the various sales that are always on active on either Flipkart, Amazon, Nykaa or thebodyshop.in and save additional money. Final Thoughts In case you want to take a sniff of this before investing in a bottle of this, I urge you to go to any nearby The Body Shop store after the lockdown is uplifted. If you like blind buying then notes are most crucial for you. So, as mentioned above, it is purely a floral with a spicy touch to it. If that rings a bell in your ears in the most pleasant way possible, then you can try this without taking too much of a risk. There is an EDT variant of this as well, but that is pricey compared to this one. So instead of delving straight into the EDT, I suggest you try the fragrance mist first. If you like it then you can go ahead and invest in the EDT version of the same mist. |
