I have heard for long that Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a face wash that even doctors actually recommend. If a product is recommended by doctors then it is expected to work wonders on your skin, so I thought of trying this product. This post is going to look at this cleanser and dissect it in details.
Packaging The cleanser is a transparent liquid that is housed in a white plastic bottle with a flip open lid in blue color. Very basic and simple packaging. Nothing exceptional. Not that I was expecting a stunning packaging here as medically approved face washes or other skincare products have very basic packaging. This rather fits into that bill perfectly. Consistency and Quality As mentioned it is a clear liquid that is quite runny and light. From the consistency I didn’t expect it to foam a lot and that also turned out to be accurate. It lathers nicely but doesn’t create a lot of foam, but it is really gentle to apply on the face. It feels so smoothly, clean, and hydrating while applying it on the face. It has a faint scent to it, which doesn’t bother me much but I would have preferred it not to have any scent at all. Although, it claims to be fragrance free, I can still smell some soft fragrance in this. It cleans the face quite nicely without taking the life out of my face. It is not like those face washes that dries you out. Rather it feels good when you wash your face with it. Although it is gentle, since it is a wash, you need to put some kind of toner and moisturizer after this. I have oily, and acne-prone skin. So, I was happy this didn’t irritate my skin or break me out in the least. It is non-comedogenic so it cleans the pores really well and is quite effective. Quantity and Price Point For a bottle of 125ml, you need to pay Rs. 255, which is not too bad. This is a decent price point as there are tons of worthless face washes in the market that do no good and still cost a bomb. This one is something that is actually worth the money. So, regardless of what skin type you are, I think you can give this one a try. Since this is a face cleanser that is not only available offline in chemists’ shops, you can save some more money while purchasing online. Specifically during various skincare sales, you can get this one at cheaper rates as well. Even I didn’t pay the full price for the bottle I own. Final Thoughts Yes, only one thought. I recommend this as well. If it didn’t break me out then I believe it is safe to be used on sensitive skin as well. Nonetheless, you can give this one a try and see for yourself how mild and effective it is. Not only do I use it on a regular basis, but also use this cleanse my face after I have taken off makeup from my face. So, yes, highly recommend this product for everyone. |
