We all know when it comes to perfumes, it is French that we look forward to. It is an automatic preference that dominates the fragrance community all over the world. However, there is another area in the globe which is equally famous for good perfumes and specially their perfume oils or attars. I am talking about the Middle Eastern countries, such as UAE. From here only, brands such as Armaf and Dorall Collection stem from and many more am sure. In India, we have access to some of the brands from UAE and we get to experiment only with their variants. Today, I am going to talk about the deodorant version of High Street for women from the house of Armaf.
Before I delve deep into the review of this fragrance, I want to point out one thing; a pattern. I have noted that Armaf brings forth fragrances of the same notes in deodorant, body mist and EDT/EDP. This is kind of great as the same fragrance in different concentrations can be enjoyed by various people without pulling too much on the pocket strings. So, if you are a school or college going person, you can try their deodorants. If you want something a bit stronger, yet doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, then you can try their body mists. If you want the best experience of the fragrance, then you can try the EDT or EDP variants, whichever is available. Basically, there is something available for everyone. So, today we are looking at the most affordable variant of these options – the deodorant. Packaging This comes in a beautiful white bottle that has a white and gold cap on top. The top is very sturdy and clicks when you shut the bottle, which kind of indicates that there won’t be any spillage of the fragrance. It’s an opaque bottle so you cannot see how much you have used up in the fragrance, which is kind of a bummer. However, on the surface of the bottle there is an impression of a classy street being depicted in a golden or olive colour; which is kind of nice. Overall, the packaging is quite good. Scent From the first spritz, it is a mellow, beautiful and classy fragrance. With raspberry and citrus opening as the top notes, the fragrance starts as a fruity scent. Then it moves on to the heart notes of magnolia and honeysuckle. It is here that it gains the white floral quality of the fragrance and finally when the base notes surface you get a waft of amber, cashmere woods and musk. All of these together blend into the most beautiful floral, woody and musky fragrance which is also mild. This is an inoffensive perfume that most people will love wearing or be around people who wears this one. Longevity and Silage The variant I have is a deodorant and hence the longevity is not great. On my skin and clothes, this one lasts not more than 2hrs. After this, reapplication is a must, which is not an issue for me as I like to travel with my fragrance. If carrying your fragrance is an issue for you, then you may try the EDP variant of the same fragrance, which being and EDP will last longer. Coming to the silage, when it is there on your skin, its projects decently, but again not for long. Since the longevity is not long enough, it similarly affects the silage as well. Quantity and Price Point The deodorant variant of High Street for women comes in a whopping 200ml, so it is good from the quantity perspective. However, given the fact that it doesn’t last long, you may end up using this soon as well. This bottle is available at Rs. 299, but online you will get discounts and great deals on this deodorant. So, you can save some money as well if you check Amazon, Flipkart, Purplle or Nykaa. Final Thoughts This one is a great everyday scent for the classy girl, who likes to attend events and functions. This can be a nice office going scent as well. Just keep in mind, you need to carry it with you and you will be sorted throughout the day. I can recommend this deodorant for school, college and office going girls as well. After all, it is said to be an affordable alternative or dupe of the Happy Spirit perfume by Chopard. So, no harm in trying this, I guess. |
